My Deepest Apologies

Hey, everybody.

I am Steve Stoehr, I'm the managing editor of The Bent Musket. And on Sunday, I did something so monumentally stupid I am actually embarrassed to try and talk to you guys about it today. I literally trolled on the game thread of the Revs-Sounders match, and I do not have an excuse for my behavior. I am here to tell you guys and girls that I am sorry.

I could tell you that it wasn't my intention to be a troll, or that I had a bad brain fart while trying to generate some cross-blog interaction, but it doesn't matter. What I did was inexcusable. It will not happen again. It was wrong and I feel like such an ass for doing it.

I have already apologized to the Sounder at Heart staff, but I feel I owe you guys the biggest apology. I read afterwards that someone thought SB Nation had bad editors because of something I had said; nothing could be further from the truth. Please do not let my idiotic actions be a reflection on Jeremiah, or even on Dave Clark and any other editor on the network. I have worked hard for four years now to try and make TBM a great place for Revs coverage, and it would kill me to know that my idiotic mistakes ruined not only that, but your opinion of the other people who do yeoman's work for next to nothing to build these communities.

You are part of an incredible community. You have an amazing staff supporting it. SaH is everything that I wish The Bent Musket could be. And I can't apologize enough for sullying that on Sunday. I never meant it. But it happened, and I take full responsibility.

Good night and I am truly sorry,

- Steve Stoehr Managing Editor, The Bent Musket
