The World Cup has been a pretty big deal in Seattle for several cycles. During the 2010 tournament, for instance, downtown Fremont was a sea of humanity whenever the United States was playing an during the later rounds. Finding a spot to watch the games is not going to be a problem.
What we hope to do, though, is identify which spots are going to be worth going out of your way to check out. Some of these spots will be bars (I'm sure the George & Dragon will be hopping) and some won't (apparently the Phinney Ridge Community Center is showing every game and is family friendly). But rather than trying to track all this stuff down ourselves, we're turning to our readers to help us out.
By this time next week, we'll hopefully have as close to a comprehensive list as possible that we can share with you all.
As a sidenote, Sounder at Heart is still trying to finalize some details for our own viewing parties for the U.S. games. We'll obviously pass that information along as soon as we have it. Oh, and there's a bracket challenge we're participating in. Join! Sounder at Heart, SB Nation.
