The Galaxy were able to sign Leonardo and get Juninho back on loan from Sao Paulo. Juninho was a vital part of the Galaxy midfield and will probably be better after another year of seasoning.

Leonardo should also improve with another year of seasoning despite the knee injury last year. He's not the same physical presence as Omar Gonzalez, but he's still one of the better young center-backs in the league.

Because bringing Buddle back just wasn't enough, they had to go and fix their midfield too.

Game will be three periods, with two 45 minute "halves" and a 30 minute additional period.

Reportedly Zak will be making an appearance, though he is not starting. Follow along with Matt Gaschk through the link. This is not really a gamethread, though feel free to discuss here.

This pretty much sums up the Church of Fucito in a picture.

Big shame that the fail to recognize the Sounders at all, but for the "Big Three" this is great work.

This truly is a must read. Zakuani is such an amazingly good person, I can't even believe it. I also find it very comforting that Mullan regrets what he said after the game and has understandingly been haunted by the tackle. He will rightly get the boos that he deserves when he plays here, but hopefully there will be less malice directed towards him. If Steve can get past it, so can I.

There's also Sigi saying that Steve won't really be Steve until next year. That is truly unfortunate for anyone who loves good soccer. Thankfully he is expected back within a few months. I cannot wait until he makes his first appearance back at the Clink -- they will hear us.

According to this article:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sounders/2017398099_sounders02.html

"Schmid admitted that he's on Twitter, but his account is under an alias. He said he uses it to keep up with what his players and the media are saying."

My guess: @ThurstonHowellV

LA looks to be taking the Kingdome Mariners' approach of "never mind stopping you, we'll just keep scoring".
