Sounders Women sign Three Huskies and a Canadian Keeper

Isabel Farrell was one of four women the Sounders Women announced as signings today - Sounders Women

Three Huskies and youth internationals return to the Sounders Women along with a national championship runner-up.

National team action has kept the Reign a little more in the news, but the Sounders Women are making moves as well. Two months after adding Washington coach Lesle Gallimore as Technical Director, the team has signed three Huskies. Attacking midfielder Lindsay Elston led Washington in goals in 2012 and was named team MVP. Midfielder Isabel Farrell is currently away with the U20 national team in La Manga after playing her freshman season for the Huskies. Goalkeeper Megan Kufeld is expected to take over as starter for Washington this season and has also played on the youth national teams. All three Huskies played for the Sounders last season as well.

In addition, the team has signed keeper Erin McNulty, who was last seen starting for Penn State in the national championship match in December. She's also in the rotation for the senior Canadian national team, though she wasn't with the team for their recent Cypress Cup appearance.

We'll be expecting more signings announced as the team approaches the 2013 season, which kicks off in mid-May.
