The Sounders Women will be without their five Huskies until June 26th. That means they will face the Pali Blues without them. That could tilt the favor toward Pali, but that's for another story. They will also be without Melissa Busque (who is in Germany with the senior Women's Canadian National Team), and Jenna Richardson who is finishing up at Oregon State.
The Rapids currently sit in fifth place in the division, and have a 1-2-1 record. They just finished a rough trip to California, where they only salvaged one point out of a possible nine. They actually were up 2-0 over the LA Strikers, but gave up three goals to lose the match. They tied with the Santa Clarita Blue Heat 2-2. They know how to score, but their back line doesn't hold well. This should bode well for our midfield and forwards, Sara Campbell should be able to add to her two goals on the season.
On Father's Day, June 16th, they face the Colorado Rush. Although the Rush are at the bottom of the Western Conference, they did give the Sounders a run for their money at Starfire. They tied the Sounders, 2-2. They also tied with the Bay Area Breeze 1-1, and have a 0-1-1 record against the Rapids. They are a young team, lead by the four goals of Danica Evans. They face Pali tonight. Kickoff for that match is at 1:00PM, and will also be broadcast on 1150KKNW.com.
