The 23-year-old has spent the last few year's in Denmark's second division, but scored eight goals as recently as 2010-11.
It's certainly not the blockbuster deal we've been waiting for, but the Seattle Sounders will have at least one interesting international with them when they open training camp next week. Sounders GM Adrian Hanauer confirmed Danish reports that Danish midfielder Philip Lund would be competing for a spot on the team. Hanauer said there should be some other new faces there, as well.
There's not a ton of information out there on Lund, but it looks like he's at least promising. He's spent most of his career in the Danish second division, most recently with FC Fyn. His best success came in 2010-11 while he was at Kolding FC where he scored eight goals in 24 matches.
Beyond that, the best we could find is a report that suggests he's good with both feet, has a high soccer IQ and has good pace. There's also this highlight video that has some impressive goals coming off his feet. More than likely, this is a player who will be competing for a spot on the team, rather than a major role.
