Twitter reports out of Argentina indicate that former River Plate, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Argentine national team forward Javier Saviola is rumored to be joining the Sounders after his contract with Malaga is complete this season.
Javier Saviola is having a fine season with Malaga despite their financial troubles. With seven goals and three assists in La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey play the 31 year old has something left despite his contract coming up this summer. Indications in Argentina from Juan Cortese of TyC sports are that something could be MLS and the Seattle Sounders FC.

Another account indicated that his destination is here in the Emerald City.

Follow up by a loyal reader indicates that the conversations are with a River VP.
@chamberiecs es un rumor que se corre en la Argentina. Él le habría dicho al vicepresidente de River que su futuro está en Seattle. ¡Abrazo!

Juan Cortese is saying that his information is Seattle as well.
@sounderatheart is a big alternative, true

This is not the first La Liga talent connected to the Seattle Sounders. It isn't even the first this week. As with all rumors salt should be taken by the shaker, not the grain, but the indications seem that there is at least a conversation going on involving the player and/or the agent and Seattle is involved.
