While the deal between Martins, Levante, Sounders and MLS is not done yet it is quite close according to Plaza Deportiva.

Contract terms rumored out of Spain are an indication that the transfer of Obefemi Martins from Levante of La Liga to Seattle Sounders FC in MLS is not just likely, it is nearly done. It would seem the sticking point at this time is the transfer fee, despite a buyout number listed in Martins original contract.

The deal is rumored to be three years with a fourth year at an option for the Nigerian forward. A base value of 2.5 million dollars with bonuses for goals and appearances in both league and CONCACAF Champions League play of up to another million dollars per year. If true that would place a large indication on how the club values the CCL despite this year's roster coming together so late. It may also be an indication that the goal is get Martins here quickly.

There still is no official deal. Even this rumor with so much detail is not saying the agreement is done. If Montero's loan away was death by a thousand cuts this is the opposite of that. It is something like life by a thousand shots of espresso.
