Sidi, Sini, Sigi

We thought
We sinned
We signed

I don't want to get into the silliness of that twist on Vini, Vidi, Vici, but the fact is Sounders FC is doing this right, and they continue to do it in a way that keeps the fans involved.

Sure, the club committed some kind of violation. That's actually OK in my book. Big clubs, Super Clubs, get what they want. For the Galaxy in MLS this has been true, but look to Champions League clubs in Europe and they are all riddled with various levels of tampering and cheating. Tevez anyone? Mourinho?

So we got the guy that most readers think is the best coach in MLS.

But we won't win in year one due to him. It takes time. But there is a major trophy that Sigi hasn't won yet twice- the US Open Cup. Let's make that run.

Those of you who buy into my theory of soccer evangelism you must bring a non-soccer friend to McRory's at 6PM on Tuesday night. Welcome a new coach to our city, a coach that has won titles with two different clubs, both playoff Cups and regular season Shields.

Help the Emerald City Supporters show Sigi that passion isn't an East Coast thing, it just needed to be unlocked here in Seattle.

In this case it was unlocked by not just allowing but encouraging our participation. When was the Mariners' Fan Conference for a trade or signing? The Seahawks? That's right, they don't do it. SSFC does. This is different. This is Seattle.
