MD 8 - What's at Stake

First off

I love you Mom
I love you to Cathy

After yesterday's matches Seattle has the last game of the week. Due to that circumstance we can know where Seattle will be in the standings pending the result today. So this is simply a small post to show how congested the table is outside of Chivas, San Jose and Dallas.

If Seattle loses Seattle will be in 3rd tied in points with TFC, but holding the Goal Differential unless there is a blow out, and would be within a win for 5 other teams.

In the case of a draw Seattle would be 2nd still, in this case tied with DC United for points, but with the Goal Differential. Still five teams would be within striking distance.

In a win though things get intriguing. A win would put Seattle at 16 points and sole possession of second, with only two teams in striking distance, both in the East.

No matter what, Seattle will at best keep pace with Chivas USA. They won, again, and are the first team to pass 20 points.

Ignoring Seattle, the following are the top 3 teams on offense (goals per game) - Chicago, Salt Lake, DC.
Ignoring Seattle, the following teams are in the top 3 on defense - Chivas, Houston, Colorado.

Oh, and the lastly DON'T LEAVE EARLY
The Galaxy have scored six in their last 15 minutes of play. Seattle on the other hand has scored at least a goal in each 15 minute chunk, but 6 in the first half.

Happy Mother's Day and Match Day 8
