You have likely heard by now that Smith was released. While the team reported that this opens up a roster slot, said slot is on the Disabled List as Smith was never removed.
If we consider the Leo Gonzalez signing as officialt (secondary window opened yesterday) the team has 25 players under roster. Three of whom are on the Disabled List - Fucito, Graham and Eylander.
By my math Sounders FC have 2 Senior slots open and 1 Disabled List slot open at this time. IF one considers Keeper Ben Dragovan on the roster then only 1 Senior slot is open.
Still to have a slot open and cap space available provides Sounders FC with the opportunity to sign more than just Leo. At this time needs are an upgrade in central midfield depth and at the forward.
