So back in July when I set up the Seattle Offside Twitter account, I created what I am quite sure was an extremely clever haiku to introduce our Tweets.
Resistance? Futile
Seattle Offside now tweets
Follow Us. Or else.
Cute, right? I even used part of my 140 characters to point out that it was a haiku. (You know. Just in case your third-grade teacher didn't introduce you to the art form.)
Only problem was that on my trip up the Twitter learning curve, I didn't realize that you can't tweet line breaks. So the tweet ended up as nonsensical prose, worthy of a politician. Or former, resigned politican, even.
(Waitwaitwait. Too political? Sorry. I won't do it again.)
(It's a Haiku, okay?) Resistance? Futile Seattle Offside now tweets Follow Us. Or else.
Great discouragement all 'round. But given that I am not one to surrender, I've decided that with 2010 right around the corner, it is time to give this Twitter thing another Rave Green try. I am now officially tweeting, @SeattleOffside.
Follow us. Or else.
