Let's hope not.
Zakuani has left for his vacation, where he's first going back to London to visit friends and family before he stops by Everton FC to take part in training.
22-year-old Seattle Sounders striker Steve Zakuani will have a spell training with Everton.
The Congo international grew up in London before making a move to the Major League Soccer team 2 years ago.
The MLS season has now ended with the new season not set to start until March and that has given Zakuani the chance to come back to England.
"As for my off season plans, I plan to spend a few days in London visiting old friends and family before going up to Liverpool to train with Everton for a few days." Zakuani is quoted in the Daily Mirror.
It will be interesting to see whether a future move will evolve from this deal.
Players visit clubs and train at their facilities all the time, however, usually when they are shopping for new clubs. So this could either be a chance for Everton and Zakuani to feel each other out, or Zakuani could just be messing around while he's back home in England.
The other, and more realistic, possibility could be a loan spell. After the success of Landon Donovan last year (which literally saved Everton's season), they might again be looking for a bright and speedy mercenary to reignite the season. However, a possible move would be limited until the January window opens again.
Either way, I don't like the idea of Zak roaming around Europe, especially after he hasn't really said anything lately about next season to make me any less worried.
