Merry Christmas

Just a quick simple message to the Sounders community.

Merry Christmas, Belated Awesome Hanukkah, Outstanding upcoming Kwanzaa

While much of retail America is giving gifts, I hope you all give and receive joy from friends and family. My hope is the that Sounders advance at least one round further in all tournaments (Knockouts in CCL &/or Conference Finals in MLS Cup Playoffs) and stop winning just one major trophy a year. The Open Cup is nice, but I'd like to see a new one on display as well.

As a few wise men once said "Be Excellent to Each Other."

Here's to MLS giving Adrian a big pile of allocation dollars for making the CCL again.
Here's to Feddie Ljungberg resigning with the Fire and giving the Sounders the 9th pick.
Here's to Mike Fucito getting at least a dozen starts in MLS play.
Here's to good health for the whole team.
Here's to the Academy players making whatever is the right choice for their life, whether it is right for my Sounder fandom or not.
Here's to Starting XI competition that makes everyone better.
Here's to Sounders scattered across the world from fans in Iraq/Afghanistan or players stretched from South America to Europe and throughout the USA/Canada. We are a global community bonded in something that is more than a game.
Here's to the 214 crew and a few more home brews this year.
Here's to my wife continuing to bless me with time to write here.

And while the toast is long these are simple wishes that all need to be said.

Happy Holidays, whichever is your tradition as Christmas is mine.
