GameThread: Sounders vs. DC United

Dave and I will both be at the game -- thanks Carlos! -- so the GameThread is going to be up to you guys.

I've posted our revised vision of the starting lineup, reflecting some changes that Mr. Chest Rockwell suggested.

This is, at least from what we've been told, the last game being played in the world before tomorrow morning's World Cup opener, Mexico vs. South Africa.

As you may know, I've created some World Cup Reference Cards that are based on the concept we used for our Match Reference Cards. In case you missed them, here are PDFs downloads for the four teams that will be playing tomorrow,  uruguay ,  france card ,  south africa card and  Mexico card .

At some point, I want to put this all together in one big post, but until then, here's our World Cup viewing guide.

Oh, tonight's game? Yes, that... The Sounders could really use a victory. They'll be playing a DC United team that is much better than their record indicates. They've got a handful of very exciting players, the most exciting of which is probably 17-year-old Andy Najar. The United backline is dealing with injuries, so hopefully the Sounders can exploit that.

Other than that, have at it.
