Looks like it's going to be a wonderful day out at Qwest for a game that is about as big as they get in July. A Sounders victory puts them one point back in the race for the final playoff spot (behind San Jose, Colorado and Toronto, who all have games in hand). A loss would be a serious setback.
It looks like Sanna Nyassi and Blaise Nkufo are getting the start, while Pat Noonan was scratched with an injury.
It also appears as if the Rapids are reverting back to a 4-2-3-1 (although there is conflicting information about this) which they've been using for much of the year. Hopefully, the Sounders can make coach Gary Smith rethink that strategy.
