Power Rankings Out, Sounders Move Up

The SBNhanced MLS Power Rankings are a collaborative effort by SBN's soccer bloggers to rank the MLS teams each week.

Week 18 rankings.  Updated 8/4/10.

Yes, that's Seattle you see tied for 5th. While we've broken down the playoff in more ways than should be done, those that don't follow the Sounders as closely as us are smitten with this team.

Sagarin though does give us a reason for worry, as Seattle is down a notch. You do notice there that Seattle has few (5) matches left against top teams in the league, while a team like New York as ten remaining.

Seattle fans were on the edge between Tier 3 and Tier 2, but it looks like on this network Seattle is a second tier teams (only 1 voter had them in 3).
