UPDATE: We did a little independent research and found that MLS has two conflicting attendance figures on Philadelphia, so we fixed that. We also realized that Geoff Cameron is almost certainly not match fit, so we put Richard Mulrooney in for him. Thanks for pointing that stuff out.
This lineup may come as a bit of a disappointment to some of you, but we try to be accurate above all else here at Sounder at Heart. With that caveat, you've probably noticed that Alvaro Fernandez is not in our starting XI. I asked Sigi about his fitness today and was told that Fernandez feels as if he's about "45 minutes fit." That doesn't guaranteed that he'll be on the bench, but it certainly doesn't sound like they are planning on him being read to start yet.
I do think that we'll still see Fernandez play significant minutes in the second half, though.
The rest of our starting lineup looks a lot like the squad that started against San Jose. In fact, this would be the third straight match that the same starting XI was rolled out if our prediction comes true. This is no small feat, as the first 18 matches featured different groups of starters in every one.
The Houston lineup was much more difficult to predict, but we came to this group with some help from our friends at SBN Houston.
