Now that a result isn't necessary tonight, the lineup is a lot more in question. What we know is that Kasey Keller will start on a day celebrating he and the fans. We also know that Jeff Parke is out and Mauro Rosales will be in the 18. Considering that the Seattle Sounders really like winning in front of home crowds the thought here is that Sigi Schmid will be starting a close to Ideal XI, but that Rosales only gets a second half run. That would put Lamar Neagle and Alvaro Fernandez as the wide mids.

The question marks, and really mere guesses are who starts at left back and center mid. The left back battle is basically even between Tyson Wahl and Leo Gonzalez, but our guess is Leo for stronger one-on-one defense. Center Mid has usually been a health determination lately. Today, that isn't the case. Brad Evans provides better positional awareness and some offensive support. Erik Friberg is a choice for a more patient attack. We went Evans.

San Jose's lineup is injury laden, and has been experimental lately.Quake, Rattle and Goal provides their best guess.
