Seattle is undefeated in their past 3, and they look to continue their solid run on the road. While Seattle has generally been the better team (except on scoreboard), they face their anti-thesis a team that just looks to bunker and counter even at home. The Philadelphia Union have had merely 35% possession in their games to this point.
This gives the Seattle Sounders an opportunity to play their style of game of ball movement, footwork and shooting. Except that the weather is expected to be poor. We may see a match where the first side to get a goal bunkers, or neither really want the ball in a possession style.
Today's game is on KONG 6/16 for TV, and 97.3 FM for radio at 1PM game-time.

Keys to Game
Force ball to Le Toux outside of the 30 - he can't create space, and is a classic off-ball guy. Force him to be a midfielder.
Pressure Faryd Mondragon often - He's had to make few stops. Seattle's typical working from post to post should help against an older keeper.
Use the Subs - Both Seattle and Philly will have speedy and crafty guys on the bench. Seattle should use Alvaro Fernandez, Nate Jaqua, Mike Fucito, Fredy Montero or Erik Friberg earlier than usual.
Don't Let Carlos Ruiz bait you - The notorious flopper and time waster ('07 here) can get in a head. Don't let that happen.
- Mauro Rosales v Carlos Valdes
- CenterBacks v Sebastien Le Toux
- Kasey Keller v Carlos Ruiz
