Is this the week Fredy Montero returns to the starting lineup? We certainly hope so. The Seattle Sounders Designated Player has started on the bench the past two matches and has played reasonably well in a reserve role. The Vancouver Whitecaps seem like the perfect team for him to get into some kind of groove with Mike Fucito.
It looks like Alvaro Fernandez is coming along a little slower than hoped, so we foresee another start for Lamar Neagle. He didn't look as effective against the Chicago Fire as he did against Real Salt Lake, but he deserves to stay out there. Hopefully, Mauro Rosales is healthy enough to start in the middle. Assuming he starts, he'll probably be switching spots with Brad Evans with some regularity.
As for the Whitecaps, their lineup was provided to us by 86 Forever, who tells us Tom Soehn has switched to more of a 4-2-3-1 formation with Davide Chiumiento as the CAM. We should see Russell Teibert -- the so-called Canadian Soccer Jesus -- to his left and Shea Salinas on the right. Eric Hassli will likely be the lone striker.
