UPDATE: The Sounders will announce ticket information after they find out their opponent.

For the first time since joining MLS in 2009, the Seattle Sounders will host their third-round U.S. Open Cup match, according to a release by the U.S. Soccer Federation. In fact, there's a good chance that every third-round match will be hosted by the eight MLS teams. The only possible match that could be at a non-MLS facility is if the Rochester Rhinos win their second-round match. If they do, they would host the Chicago Fire.

The Sounders will play the winner of Real Colorado Foxes-Kitsap Pumas on June 29 at Starfire Sports Complex. The Pumas and Foxes will play their second-round match on June 21 at Bremerton Memorial Stadium.

In each of the previous two years, the Sounders have played the Portland Timbers at what was then called Civic Stadium, who were then in Division 2. Last year, the Sounders won in a penalty shootout. In 2009, they won 2-1. Both years they went on to win the tournament.
