The New England Revolution at this time are a bad team. Similar to the Seattle Sounders some of this is due to injury, as their Designated Player went down with a poor ankle. That issue with Benny Feilhaber influenced Shalrie Joseph to skip the CONCACAF Gold Cup, but unfortunately for the Rev faithful their team only picked up 2 points in the last 5 matches. They look to end that poor run of form with the return of that dangerous tandem in the center of the pitch controlling play both when attacking and defending. Steve Nicol can also use Sainey Nyassi to open space on one flank with the speed that his surname brings to mind. The Foxburo, Massachusetts side has the worst offense in the game (0.75 GF per game), but a fairly stingy defense at 9th in the League (1.19 GA per game).

Sagarin has Seattle as strong favorites, but we've seen the Sounders drop points when favored often enough that the parity tale is now over told. This being the second game in a six day stretch, Brad Evans being a game day decision and Yellow Card accumulation to Osvaldo Alonso and Leo Gonzalez this will be a bit of a patchwork lineup for Seattle. With a player or two starting in unusual roles it will be imperative for Sigi's men to create through multiple routes, and would be an excellent game to see those strong secondary runs of months past either as intended recipient or to poach goals. The Sounders defense should remain strong as their rotation is fairly static and they've rode a solid Kasey Keller to a 4th best in League (0.94 GA per). The recent four goal performance has even bumped the offense above the League average mark to 6th in the League with 1.28 Goals For. Only three teams are in the top 6 in both measures as Seattle joins FC Dallas and the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The game is on KONG 6/16/106 and KIRO 97.3 FM at 1:00 PM
