The Seattle Sounders' U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal match against the Los Angeles Galaxy at Starfire Sports Complex has been moved to Wednesday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m.. The match had originally been scheduled for July 12, but the Sounders have a match against the Portland Timbers on July 10. The Galaxy have their own match on July 9 against the Chicago Fire, but don't have another MLS match scheduled until July 20.
There has not yet been an announcement for when tickets will go on sale. It seems a reasonable assumption, though, that tickets for the match will go on sale sometime this week. The winner of this match will likely play the winner of FC Dallas-Real Salt Lake at a place to be determined.
The Sounders, historically, have tried to host every game they possibly can. Since joining MLS, they have gone on the road just three times in Open Cup games and have only played one match beyond the third round on the road.
