Clearly the Seattle Sounders international player with the biggest impact was forward Eddie Johnson. Despite playing as a midfielder, version 2.0 of GAM used his head twice shortly after dead ball plays to put the United States past Antigua & Barbuda 2-1. Johnson was the player of the match at ProSoccerTalk while Stars & Stripes FC credits EJ with rescuing a poor performance. The USMNT plays Guatemala on Tuesday and there is little doubt that EJ should start.

Honduras merely drew Panama in Group C action. Mario Martinez started and played 82 minutes, but the dropped points force a must win when hosting Canada on Tuesday. This could make a difference in the RSL match for reasons noted in a bit.

Adam Johansson did not play in Sweden's edging of Faroe Islands. Their Tuesday game is in Germany, so expect no Johansson for Seattle.

Real Salt Lake has four full internationals. While Rimando and Beckerman did not play on Friday night, Beckerman could feature Tuesday. Will Johnson went 82 minutes with a goal to keep Canada's hopes of the Hex alive. Their next game is in Honduras and isn't must win, but is quite close. Sabario also went 82 with an assist to put Costa Rica past El Salvador. They are at home against Guyana and should win handily on Tuesday. Gil went 80 minutes in a US U-20 friendly 2-0 win over Scotland. On Tuesday they face Azerbaijan.

At this point it seems like Seattle will be without the services of Johansson and Martinez and if EJ can go it would be as a sub. Salt Lake will be without W.Johnson, Sabario and Gil with Beckerman likely being able to play. Rimando is certain to be able to play. RSL will have a bit more harm done to their XI and 18 then Seattle.
