The Future is down in California for the weekend and on Sunday the 18s provided the script for victory with a 7-2 drubbing of Cal Odyssy.

If Eddie Johnson and Fredy Montero need a lesson in how to dominate a team from California it was given this morning when the Seattle Sounders Academy U18s crushed Cal Odyssy 7-2. It is the type of performance that the senior team needs to put on tonight.

It started with a Duncan McCormick goal off a Henry Wingo pass, but it was the forwards that did Odyssy in.

Goal two slotted in from David Olsen. His partner, Jordan Morris, up top got the assist. Then Morris scored from McCormick. Then Olsen from Morris was repeated. Morris scored again this time with an assist from Kyle Bjornethun.

At halftime it was five-nil Seattle.

They weren't done. Sam Langston scored off a Wingo cross. Odyssy would score two unanswered and maybe there was worry and trepidation. There was no need for that. Olsen knocked in his third with Isidro Prado-Huerta earning the assist.

Olsen ended with three goals
Morris put in two goals and two assists
McCormick nabbed a goal and an assist
Langston got a goal
Wingo had zero goals but two assists
Bjronethun and IPH both had an assist

It was quite simply the complete performance that the First Team needs today. For if Eddie and Fredy get five goals and two assists between them it will be the show of our lives.

Sounders, your script is available. It was written by the future and they'd love to hear you read it.
