In Seattle Sounders FC's first ever General Manager retention vote Adrian Hanauer will be retained as the GM of the team. The vote surpassed the minimum of 10,000 votes cast with a total votes cast of 13,775 with only 504 voting a lack of confidence for a 96.3%. The vote was verified by CPA firm Moss Adams.

Adrian says that his speech after the announcement of retention that his section of the meeting would be more difficult if he had not been retained. He then conducts his section on the current team and how he operates, promising that the slides will be up on www.SoundersFC.com in a few days.

Drew Carey mentions that at this time the ownership is good and the vote was likely not difficult, but in 20-25 years "when we're [Ownership] all dead" the fans will be grateful for the power to fire a future GM. The next vote is scheduled for 2016, but can be called earlier via Alliance petition.
