With a website as deep as SoundersFC.com sometimes changes can get lost. One of those changes (timing unknown) is that Seattle Sounders FC is now selling two separate 9-game partial season ticket packages. For those that want cheaper options to see a large amount of regular season matches rather than CONCACAF Champions League (still on sale as well) the partial packages offer a price point starting at $22 per match.
Each package features a split of the teams that visit CenturyLink twice (notable the LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake). Sounders Blue has opening day and the Portland Timbers as its key games, while Rave Green holders will see the Vancouver Whitecaps, the final regular-season match and the Friendly. The friendly at the listed price breaks down to $62.
The Sounders continue to have a high renewal rate (in the mid- to upper-90 percentile), but with the addition of the Hawks Nest (still to be given Sounders pseudonym) the team has more options for fans to get seats. While it might not be a core value for the to set attendance records every year, it certainly seems to be a major goal.
