The injury report is piling up for the Sigi Schmid's Seattle Sounders FC. Where the Dynamo were a dead ball team with a singular potent threat out wide, the San Jose Earthquakes are a more complicated offensive team. The lineup adjustments are hard to guess, but with Seattle on a strong streak right now our best guess for the lineup is no changes in the starting XI. What will shift is how those players are used. It also wouldn't surprise us to see Jeff Parke, Leo Gonzalez or Christian Sivebaek to start. There are tactical reasons each would do well in this match, but the pull of form can be tough to avoid. What is not in doubt is that the forward pairing of David Estrada and Fredy Montero will start. San Jose's starters are projected by Quake, Rattle and Goal.
Statistics are gathered from MLSSoccer.com and the Sounders game notes. A reminder about run of play v set piece goals, rebounds and penalties are not included as each could theoretically be counted in either of those broad categories. If you are looking for Estrada's Points Per 90 (pp90) red dot you won't find it. He's off the chart right now. If the limits were increased enough to fit him in every other Sounder would look completely ineffective. If you want to print the card out you can click on the little tray image in the bottom center.
