Christian Sivebaek Signs With Danish Second-Tier Team

Christian Sivebaek has landed, although it's probably not exactly where he hoped. The 24-year-old, who came to the Sounders with so much promise, has signed with Danish second-tier club Vejle Kolding. Although no details were announced, the Sounders are not expected to receive any kind of transfer fee.

According to Google Translate, Sivebaek sounds relieved to be heading back to Denmark. He had commented on Twitter that his lack of playing time here was made doubly difficult by the fact he was so far away from home.

"I've said yes to the Dallas Cowboys Kolding, because the club has started in an exciting project. It is also a good opportunity for me to come home and hopefully get solid playing time after a few years I have not played solid."

From the looks it, Sivebaek joins a club with decent ambitions. They finished third in what is called the Danish First Division (but is actually the second tier) after it was formed in June 2011 when Vejle Boldklub and Kolding FC merged.
