Sounders Reserve Game To Feature Steve Zakuani, Mario Martinez

New, 6 comments

If you've ever considering going to a Seattle Sounders Reserve League game, you may want to do it on Sunday. You'll get a chance to see the likes of Steve Zakuani and Mario Martinez.

Zakuani is coming off a 90-minute performance against the San Jose Earthquakes in last week's Reserve League game and it would seem a fair assumption that he'll be playing the full game, again. It's not as clear how long Martinez will play, but acclimating to MLS is more important than fitness right now.

Other players that are likely to feature include goalkeeper Josh Ford, who was the backup on Saturday, and Sounders Academy player Dom Dismuke. In fact, there could be several interesting faces.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Starfire Sports Complex and parking and admission are free, parking is five dollars. There will be people at the doors asking for donations to the Sounders' charity partners, though, so it's probably a good idea to bring some money.
