It is an era of customization in our electronics, be they gaming, phones, tablets, etc. This year EA's FIFA franchise allowed MLS fans to elect three of the four people on the downloadable cover. The other member was the player that won the Best 24 Under 24 - Darren Mattocks.
It is appropriate that Fredy Montero is on the cover of this game, his favorite game, a game he uses to help scout the opposition. Tim Cahill and Chris Wondolowski filled out the names selected by popular vote. This means two things - Wondo was clearly picked because MLS fans are paying attention to his amazing season. There are also still enough MLS fans that think of Cahill as an EPL great and don't like Landon Donovan.
The game is released officially tomorrow, but tonight's launch party in New York City had advance images of the cover. One of the leaks was tweet from MLS_Insider a semi-official account.
