The voting for the Offensive (as in attacking) Player of the Year last year was quite tight. In the end Fredy edged Eddie and earned his third recognition as the winner. This year's voting is between the three forwards that scored eight or more league goals, a man with eight assists (he won this award in 2011) and a calm center mid/winger who quietly contributed to the attack.
The following chart shows their stats. The player are ordered alphabetically by last name.
Player | All Comps Goals | All Comps Assists | MLS passing % | Key Passes Per MLS Game |
Brad Evans | 5 | 5 | 77.7% | 1.0 |
Eddie Johnson | 12 | 1 | 80.3% | 1.5 |
Obafemi Martins | 8 | 2 | 75.8% | 0.6 |
Lamar Neagle | 9 | 4 | 70.9% | 1.3 |
Mauro Rosales | 4 | 8 | 76.8% | 1.9 |
Or maybe the race isn't that close at all...
We'll find out as you vote for who you think the best Offensive Player for 2013 was.
