Major League Soccer's quest to win the CONCACAF Champions League will get a tiny boost as the organization moved two matches to aid the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy as they prepare for Santos Laguna and Monterrey respectively. Seattle's match against Chivas USA moved from April 7th to Wednesday September 4th at 7 PM. KONG 6/16/106 will stillbroadcast the match. The Sounders now have only two MLS games in April, both at home and both after the two leg CCL semis.
MLS also moved the LA Galaxy v Montreal Impact game. That match moved to October 16th. The Galaxy may be in a bit of fixture congestion during the stretch run with their '13-14 CCL cycle and now a fourth match in October. Their first three are at home (Chivas, Montreal, San Jose). They end by coming to Seattle for both teams' finales.
Santos Laguna plays Queretaro (currently 8th in Liga MX), Seattle, Tijuana (7th), Seattle and then Toluca (14th) to start April. Santos sits in 4th place with a 6-2-3 +7 GD at this time.
