After a year of not getting the call, DeAndre Yedlin will again be in the United States Youth National Team system. The 19 year-old right back told MLSSoccer.com that he was invited to the April training camp.
"It'll be a pretty exciting experience, but I haven't made it yet," Yedlin told MLSsoccer.com shortly after his Sounders lost to San Jose 1-0. "It's just a camp. So obviously there's a lot to do at the camp and hopefully, [I'll] get picked for the World Cup team. I'm just going to go in and do my best."
He was last in camp with the U-20 in January of 2012.
The upcoming camp is to help coach Tab Ramos refine his team in preparation for this summer's U-20 World Cup and likely takes place April 22-29 (the details are not yet final). Yedlin would not miss any first team time if that date holds true.
