And I guess the Champions League match yesterday was pretty entertaining.

The Canadian SB Nation sites are atwitter at the prospect of former Manchester United star Park Ji-Sung ("Korean naming convention) joining our fair little league. With Shalrie Joseph playing pretty well in the early going, Seattle may not be a likely destination for the South Korean national. Which is a shame; Even at 32, he would be a big time difference maker. Toronto appears to be looking at him as well as Argentinian Matias Laba. Speaking of Canada, Prosoccertalk is wondering where Omar Salgado is.

I didn't see the match, but I hear that the Borussia Dortmund-Malaga spot yesterday was a cracker. You won't get any scores from me, out of respect for the DVR nation, but what you will get is a link to this friggin excellent tifo from the home crowd.

It has (unfortunately been a newsworthy week in Portland. Their victory over Houston (their first of the year) turned some heads and earned Player of the Week accolades for Ryan Johnson and Diego Chara. Additionally, the Thorns have revealed their kits and sponsors.

Omar Gonzalez is undoubtedly one of the best players in MLS. Yet (like many of the best) he doesn't have a contract equaling his performance. Yet LA has a DP slot open. perhaps instead of throwing it at a European star, it should be given to a guy who already contributes immensely for the Galaxy?

Sounders Academier (sic) Nick Palodichuk scored in Duke's first scrimmage of the season, and local tv ratings for the Sounders pull ratings between 1.8 and 2.5.

I leave you with a video chronicling 75 years of the famous Abbott and Costello sketch "Who's on First". It's hard to be an athlete AND a comedian.
