In the past the multi-game packs featured a visiting European club and MLS sides. In 2013 it will only be MLS teams. The four matches which will feature a full stadium in full voice will be the biggest rivals - both regional and for trophies.
Seattle Sounders FC announced today via press release that the four pack will be games against Vancouver, Portland Salt Lake and Los Angeles.
The 4-Match ticket package includes Sounders FC home matches versus the Vancouver Whitecaps FC on June 8, Portland Timbers on August 25, Real Salt Lake on September 13 and the final regular season match versus the Los Angeles Galaxy on October 27. Seating for these matches will be expanded to include the upper bowl at CenturyLink Field.
Tickets will go on sale Monday at 10 AM (SoundersFC.com, Ticketmaster and 1-877-MLS-Goal).
Last year the Sounders averaged over 43,000 in attendance for league matches with only three of those opponents on the schedule and a large corporate buy for a Sporting KC match. Will the draw of regional rivals and RSL be enough to top that number in 2013?
