Per a release today, the NWSL has entered into an agreement with Fox Sports Media Group to air 9 games this year on Fox Soccer or alternative Fox Sports stations. The one year deal will put six regular season games on national television, as well as three playoff games. Specifically, the two semifinal matches and championship scheduled to be played on August 31.
However, no games will make it to television until July 8, when one game will be shown each week for the final six weeks of the season. Until then, the clubs will continue to host their own live streams on the league website and Youtube.
No details on the featured matchups have yet been released, though bet on a Seattle-Portland making it somewhere. Similarly, the on-air voices have not been revealed, and it looks unlikely that John Strong will be the man, rumored to be taking over lead duties on NBC's MLS coverage.
