After almost no time to recover from the loss in league play the Seattle Sounders move on quickly to a more difficult opponent, but an opponent which they've demonstrated that they are good enough to beat. The Sounders are as good as any in MLS against Liga MX sides. Santos Laguna is better. Seattle enters 1-3-1 in their last five. Santos at 3-1-1.

Form means nothing.

This is one game. Really just half a game, and next week will see the second half. A lead is necessary. When MLS teams go to Torreon they fail. It is the Stone of Tear, but like all fortifications it will fall, just as Azteca has. Step one is tonight. Step one is Beat Santos again.
