Sounders at Colorado Rapids - Gamethread

When the Seattle Sounders take on the Colorado Rapids it will not be about dramatically changing anything but results from Sigi's men. The result does need to change. At 3 PM today they try to get their first MLS win. It is matchday six.

USA TODAY Sports

At 3 PM the Seattle Sounders FC will get a Mile High when they take the pitch against the Colorado Rapids. It will be their sixth league match as they attempt to prevent the season from going up in smoke. For most supporters they will gather at viewing parties or enjoy in the privacy of their own homes.

The Sounders are using higher pressure lately, but still lack in the finish. A new variety of forward may be needed, but the bitter taste brought by the scoring deficit must disappear. The club and the fans both want and expect more.

Colorado is not the team you remember. No longer brutal, they play a more mellow game, passing it around and share the goal scoring spoils. Their defense is a bit suspect, young and prone to mental errors especially when they forget they are in the box giving up a few penalties already in 2013.

It isn't a derby, but there is some history between the two teams and communities. Let's see some goals and figure out where to go from here.
