Injury Update: Johnson should play, Evans questionable, Martins still out

As the Seattle Sounders fly charter down to Torreon they will do so with questions as to how fit a few players are.

Obafemi Martins is clearly not going to play on Tuesday night in Torreon as the Seattle Sounders try to upset Santos Laguna and continue to make history in the tournament. But the team may, or may not, have the services of Eddie Johnson and Brad Evans.

"Eddie did more today," head coach Sigi Schmid said following a rainy day of training on Sunday. "So we'll see how he is. The anticipation is that we have 48 hours so he'll be close to being ready. I don't know if that's start ready or sub ready."

Seattle traveled via a charter to Torreon, Mexico in hopes to increase their chances of performing well in a match that could provide a boost to morale in light of early 2013 league results. The planned route greatly reduces time in airports for customs and transfers.

Santos Laguna drew 0-0 in league play late Saturday night at Tijuana. Both Herculez Gomez and Marc Crosas did not go 90 after playing in leg one in Seattle. They did start. Jorge Estrada and Oribe Peralta did not play.
