Brad Evans wins World Cup Qualifier for United States

Seattle Sounders midfield and USA right back Brad Evans scored the game winner against Jamaica in Friday night's qualifier.

It was a game with an early goal by Jozy Altidore, a late defensive mistake and Brad Evans. The 2-1 victory is an important step heading into two home games for the USA, but for Seattle it is important because tonight B-Rad is a hero and he is coming back to us.

As Stars and Stripes FC says;

The sparsely filled Office was still celebrating their draw when Brad Evans snatched it from them.

Brad Evans.

And the United States won.

Thanks to Brad Evans.

Brad described his goal (5th on SportsCenter's top 10) on BeIN after the match.

"They were dire moments and we sent everybody forward. There was a short corner and Michael [Bradley] found me and I turned and just got the shot off as fast as I could. I think it may have taken a deflection in but I'll take it."

The national narrative goes from describing Evans as a utility player that barely earned his spot to a man who wins games. He is Brad Evans. He is ours. And we want to keep him.

Brad and the rest will be here Tuesday. You can watch them here, live and local. The United States sits on top of the Hex because of Brad Evans.
