Sounders at San Jose Earthquakes - Second Half Gamethread

Because our threads are getting so busy here's a thread for the second half action between Seattle Sounders FC and the San Jose Earthquakes. If you're just joining us the match is on KING 5 and is the stream of the week at MLSSoccer.com

USA TODAY Sports

Seattle Sounders FC: 0
San Jose Earthquakes: 0

Interesting stats: When Seattle owns possession, it OWNS possession. Sounders hold the edge in the attacking half by just under 4%. Neither team has a Big Chance. Both teams have completed 75% of passes. The most common pass so far today is between Alonso and Yedlin.

Things we like: Michael Gspurning, Alonso's defense, Gspurning.

Things we don't like: Alonso's passing, Lenhart. Having to sub due to injury before half. Passing to the touchline.

Changes Sigi Schmid needs to make: There's a need for more creativity. Seattle is winning the ball enough, but lacks the options to create chances. Neither side is in the attacking third much. That needs to change for the Green. Somehow he needs to keep his team healthy, because that's on him too?

It's the second half. Each side has one sub. Forty-five minutes until points are granted to someone.
