Sounders Reserves come from two goals down to beat Chivas USA behind Eriq Zavaleta

Powered by former draft picks, three trialists and three Academy players Seattle Sounders FC's Reserves overcame a two goal deficit to beat Chivas USA.

Starfire hosted another Reserve game last night. If you missed it you can watch the highlights and enjoy the Eriq Zavaleta show. His two goals and Servando Carrasco's finely taken penalty helped the youngsters overcome the early performance by Chivas USA. David Estrada earned two assists as well.

The first half saw three trialists take the pitch. Blair Gavin is still here on trial. The former Generation Adidas players was in the PDL this Spring after having stints with Chivas USA and New England. Ashani Fairclough is also still in town as the team tries to help him keep in shape as he looks for a new contract somewhere.

There was also a "name" trialist. Youssef Adnane put in 45 minutes wearing the number 45. A rotational player at Evian Thonon Gaillard FC in France's Ligue 1 he is now a Free. Adnane is probably most well know for helping Beckham get a red card. At only 28 Adnane has time left in his tank. Over the past week he's been training with Seattle so there may be a chance that the club adds a quality player used to a bench role. In his seven starts he played mainly as a forward (5 times) but also on the right wing and central midfield. As a sub he came into every attacking role.

Academy players that saw time in the comeback were Cody Crook (90 minutes in defense), Jordan Morris (2nd 45 replacing Adnane) and Henry Wingo (17 minutes). Duncan McCormick was an unused sub. Bryan Meredith was the only other player to not see action.
