Gspurning denies goal, EJ heads goal, and B-Rad runs by dudes. (Animated)

The Seattle Sounders FC tied LA Galaxy 1-1 in a tightly contested match with playoff implications on the line as the race to the shield heads towards the finish line.

The Sounders GK made early Michael Gspurning's saves to hold back LA's early siege and Eddie Johnson opened the scoring with a beautiful header. The Galaxy would tie the match right before halftime with a perfect FK from Juninho. Seattle would have to frantically fend off LA with 10-men to finish off the match as Zach Scott got his second yellow of the night in stoppage time but they escaped Southern California with a huge point, keeping them tops of the league.

The second-half sub (and return to the pitch from injury) Brad Evans blows past two defenders and almost delivers an assist on what could've been the go-ahead goal from Lamar Neagle:
