After a number of chances went by for the Sounders, Brad Evans buried a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Red Bulls had several chances of their own go off the woodwork and finally managed to convert a chance to level the score at 1-1. Two points were left on the pitch as both team could've easily gone home with all the three.
