Lets all just remember that Yedlin has set the bar very high
Don’t expect every homegrown to transition as seamlessly. It was said that if drafted, Yedlin would have easily been a top ten pick. Then take into consideration that only a few defensive players draft high. I wish all the best and hope for the same success to Okili and Kovar but if they take a year or so to transition into pro play, don’t be surprised.
I thought that was the pre-match fitness test for players coming off injury

one consistently positive trend continues this offseason
we are targeting a lot of team captains this year. Marshall, Frei, Hagen. we could potentially have both CBs, our GK Frei, honeybadger + Evans + Dempsey as starters with extensive leadership/captaining experience at a high level.
I really think that bodes well for the team going into 2014. Targeting attacking midfield quality is obviously huge – but leadership guys in defensive roles are the foundation of championship teams.
