Sounders U-23 player Aodhan Quinn was the 14th pick of the third round in the SuperDraft, becoming the third Sounders player in this year's draft. Quinn played 11 games with the U-23s last season.

The Colorado Rapids loaned Tony Cascio out to the Houston Dynamo for the duration of the 2014 season in the first ever intra-league loan in MLS history. The function was implemented in 2013 to allow teams to loan out players under 24-years-old without giving up their rights.
Midfielder Luke Mulholland of the best-name-ever NASL club Tampa Bay Rowdies was signed by Real Salt Lake today. He played against RSL in 2011 and has been named in back-to-back Best XIs in the NASL.
Cameroon international forward Charles Eloundou will finally play with the Colorado Rapids almost one year after he was originally acquired. Eloundou was picked by the Rapids in a lottery last January, but problems with his international transfer certificate kept him from participating with the club.
After a very busy offseason, Portland Timbers coach Caleb Porter said the team is pretty close to being set. The Timbers were one of the busier teams in the offseason, and Porter detailed a bit of that offseason plan and how it worked to MLSSoccer.com.

Nicolas Anelka's quenelle saga might be finally coming to a close after the FA said he violated FA Rule E3 against abusive, indecent, insulting or improper gestures. The minimum suspension for the offense is five games and Anelka has until 6 p.m. on Thursday to respond.
Manchester United continue to show interest in Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata, but it looks unlikely any sort of transaction will take place. Man U rejected the idea of tossing in Wayne Rooney to sweeten the deal, and Chelsea is reportedly not very high on the idea of making a team they compete against better.
Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has an injured knee ligament that will sideline him for an expected two months. It isn't as severe as an ACL injury, but its enough to most likely keep him out through March.

Samuel Eto'o's son wants his dad to finish out his playing career in Mallorca. Eto'o got his start at Mallorca before moving onto Barcelona, but his old club has fallen on some hard times. Mallorca were relegated last season and are currently eighth in the Segunda Division.

Bayern Munich defender Dante denied reports he is heading to Manchester United. The defender is reportedly working Bayern Munich on a new contract.
Serie A
Former Cheivo manager Domenico Di Carlo will be the new Livorno coach, the club's third coach in eight days. He takes over for Attilio Perotti, who started on Jan. 13. Livorno has lost five straight games, and Perotti will most likely return to his role as technical director.
2014 World Cup
FIFA announced that a decision whether the city of Curitiba can host the World Cup will be coming on Feb. 18. Of the 12 venues, six remain unfinished, and the city of Curitiba has been said to be severely behind schedule.
