Emerald City Supporters are trying to get more of their members into the GA. If you are a member and want to be in GA go here. They'll use that data to work with the Sounders Front Office.

Did you know that UW, Seattle U and SPU all took part in pro/rel a few decades ago? Know Your History.

MLS

Omar Gonzalez does really great job of thinking that he deserves a fine. His actual complaint is about the refereeing, but he literally mentions other players that got fined as his defense for criticizing Elfath.

MLS Cup winning odds are out with Sounders FC only third favorites. That probably makes sense.

San Jose Earthquakes have a brand new stadium. They may even have a stadium sponsor. You almost certainly haven't heard of them, but then again that's why they are sponsoring the stadium.

MLS and IMG are selling the international and gaming rights for USMNT, USWNT and MLS properties. This won't effect the new TV deal in the USA, or the ones in Canada. It's purely about foreign rights, gaming and digital properties.

If you were in Salt Lake City you didn't get to watch the RSL v Chivas USA match live. Instead you could watch on delay, because it's the 1980s. Salt Lake won which means that unless Dallas wins RSL gets the 3rd seed and the right to take on LA the two seed.

There's an interesting thing going on in Houston. The Dynamo have only had one coach, but during their coaching search they want someone who knows the "Dynamo way." Up until this month that's meant the Dom Kinnear (former Sounder) way. What of their way is separate from Kinnear?

Orlando normally hosts pre-season tournaments. This year those tournaments will not feature new to MLS club Orlando City SC. They are going to Brazil for their matches and want to save their first local game for their MLS opener. The people of Orlando are already looking at draft prospects.

AJ DeLaGarza is sticking with the LA Galaxy for a few more years.

Steve Clark (no relation, Sounder for moments) spent 10 minutes telling the world about himself.

The Supporters' Shield will be decided on the final match day of the season. This is only the sixth time that's happened. Good news for Sounders fans. History indicates that leading into the last day is good.

USA

Miguel Ibarra actually did slip through the cracks and now he's a marginal USMNT player. TopDrawerSoccer talked to him about how he learned the game and his path to Team USA.

The next United States friendly is against Colombia on November 12th 14th. That's just 2 4 days after a Sounders match so the status of Yedlin and Dempsey could be in doubt. This match is in London, because I guess ex-pats deserve to see the US team too.

Who doesn't love fanciful designs for new shirts. Here's one designer/fan's take on the next batch of USA kits.

World Soccer

There's still talk of a pan-Caribbean League. It's been 20 years from the last one, but it's gaining momentum again.

Fans shouldn't go to soccer games expecting wins. They go because of the thrill of not knowing the result. One writer thinks Sunderland did wrong by refunding traveling fans and he has a point. Then again, they got crushed, it wasn't just the average loss.

Canada's coach talked about the growth of the program and why he ignores Russell Teibert. Correction. He said that Teibert knows exactly what he needs to do to get the call again. It doesn't seem like it has anything to do with soccer.
