Obafemi Martins closed out the most productive season of his professional career by scoring two goals and picking up three assists. Those three assists, you might remember, were in the Seattle Sounders' two most important games, probably in franchise history. These efforts have earned him a nomination for the MLS Player of the Month in October.
The Sounders tend to do pretty good in these contests, as you may have heard. Martins won the award back in September as well and Clint Dempsey won it in April. You can do your part by voting here.
